youwont Pulls Largest Bounty On Way to Winning PartyPoker Micro Series Main Event

Table Of Contents

PartyPoker player “yowont” enjoyed double delight in the online poker site’s Micro Series Main Event on March 2, taking down the tournament and pulling the largest mystery bounty prize from its envelope. The impressive double whammy resulted in “youwont” collecting $8,564 for their $22 investment, more than twice as much prize money as any other player.

The Micro Series saw PartyPoker host 60 numbered events, most with low, medium, and high buy-ins. As the series’ name suggests, even the high buy-in events were at the more affordable end of the scale, with $22 being the most expensive entry.

That $22 buy-in was reserved for the Micro Series 58-H: Main Event Mystery Bounty, a $60,000 guaranteed tournament. The format and entry price proved popular, as evidenced by a bumper crowd of 3,322 entrants creating a $66,440 prize pool.

The mystery bounties came into play when only 662 players had chips in front of them. Four of those bounties weighed in at at least $1,000, with a $4,000 jackpot bounty payment waiting for one lucky PartyPoker player.

“PokerAuthority” claimed the second-largest bounty. They busted in 187th place for $28.27 but not before claiming bounties worth $3,085.29, including a chunky payout of $3,000.

PartyPoker Micro Series Main Event Final Table Payouts

Rank Player Bounties Prize Total Prize
1 youwont $4,197 $4,367 $8,564
2 Starting Chips $751 $2,949 $3,700
3 Jax Teller $431 $1,985 $2,146
4 Brillebob 123 $514 $1,332 $1,846
5 Xmac47 $64 $904 $968
6 TripleBarel $74 $673 $747
7 MirvandBiking $130 $519 $649
8 tiltyoubad $108 $398 $506
9 Sluota $587 $317 $904

Four of the nine finalists turned their $22 buy-in into a prize worth over $1,000.

“Brillebob 123” was the first of that quartet to hit the big time; their fourth-place finish came with $1,846, including $514 from the bounty prize pool. Third place and $2,146 went to “Jax Teller,” who it is safe to assume is a Sons of Anarchy fan.

Heads-up pitted “Starting Chips” against “youwont.” The difference in prize money was already over $1,400 without bounties taken into consideration, but more so when they were. “Starting Chips” was left without chips and crashed out in second place for a total haul worth $3,700. Thanks to pulling $4,197 from mystery bounty envelopes, including the $4,000 jackpot bounty, “youwont” took home $8,564 in total, and the title of PartyPoker Micro Series Mystery Bounty Main Event champion.

$150,000 Guaranteed Big Quarter Mystery Bounty

Your next chance to turn a low-stakes buy-in into a substantial mystery bounty sum at PartyPoker is in the popular Big Quarter event. The $11 buy-in tournament comes with a massive $150,000 guarantee on its prize pool and a top bounty guaranteed to be $10,000!

Day 2 of The Big Quarter Mystery Bounty is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. GMT on April 7. Several flights are schedule before then. One took place on March 2. It saw 80 of the 814 entrants punch their Day 2 tickets at the first attempt. Subsequent Day 1s run at 8:00 p.m. GMT every day from March 7-16. More are likely to appear in the PartyPoker tournament lobby because 15,000 entries are required to hit the ambitious guarantee.
