Alex Foxen Multi-Tabling Poker Tournaments at Separate Las Vegas Venues

Alex Foxen left the Horseshoe on a Day 3 dinner break on Monday at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) to take his seat in another tournament across town that was approaching the money bubble.

The high roller traveled a mile up the Strip to Wynn Las Vegas, where Day 2 in the $10,400 buy-in Wynn Summer Championship took place. He bagged a stack on a Day 1 flight and played briefly early in the Day 2 session before returning to the WSOP for Day 3 of Event #74: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship.

Poker Player Has a Tough Decision

The Wynn event attracted 1,537 entrants for $15,062,600 in the prize pool. Foxen is also playing for a share of the $8,128,200 prize pool at the WSOP, along with a bracelet and $1,394,579 first-place score.

Foxen spent most of the day in the PLO event at the WSOP while his stack at Wynn dwindled down. He rushed out of Horseshoe on dinner break around 7:45 p.m., just as the Wynn tournament was only three players away from the money. The high-stakes legend, at the time, had 41,000 chips with the blinds at 5,000/10,000 (10,000 big blind ante).

He stood to lose 25,000 chips each round without seeing a hand in his absence, meaning he could only make it through one full round without being blinded out. Two players soon busted, leaving the tournament on the stone bubble, but Foxen, who still hadn’t arrived at Wynn, was in the big blind, at the time of publishing.

In the bracelet event, however, he was already in the money with 17 of the 874 entrants remaining. Foxen was 12th in chips on dinner break and had locked up at least $54,777. The tournament will play down to a winner on Tuesday.

PokerNews is live reporting the $10k PLO event and will provide daily recaps of the Wynn Summer Championship.
