Table Of Contents
If you’re looking for a poker event that mixes great competition with a local touch and the chance to give back, the Eastern Poker Open is the place to be. Hosted by the Eastern Poker Tour, the event will return from April 3-6, 2025, at the Doubletree by Hilton Boston Milford. And this year, it’s bigger, better, and ready to raise the stakes.
A Celebration of Community and Poker
The tour is celebrating its 34th season, and they’re doing it in a big way. This year’s Eastern Poker Open comes with a $34,000 Championship prize pool. That’s a $1,000 boost over last year’s pool, which is a pretty solid way to celebrate 34 seasons of great poker. But it’s not just about the money. The event also supports local charities, with a portion of the proceeds going to causes in the community. So, whether you’re playing for the championship or just joining in for the fun, you’re helping make a difference.
With buy-ins starting as low as $60, there’s an event for everyone.

The Invite-Only $34,000 Championship is the centerpiece of the festival. The prize pool is up from $33,000 last year to celebrate the EPT’s 34th season. The top 16 players from Day 1 will advance, and each pocket $150. The Day 1 chip leader will score a$400K Bar Poker Open Seat & Hotel Package, which includes a ticket to the summer Bar Poker Open festival in Las Vegas. Not a bad way to round out your poker season.
The Championship will kick off on Saturday, April 5 at 10 a.m. Qualifiers will play for a chance to advance to Day 2, where they’ll compete for that sweet $34,000 prize pool. On Sunday, April 6, the final round will be televised, and the top 16 players will be joined by Monthly Championship winners, Regional Winners, and Wild Card Spots from the “Open” Charity Tournaments.
A King of the Felt Leaderboard Challenge
The fun keeps coming with the King of the Felt leaderboard challenge. Players can earn points by participating in any of the Open events, and the more points you rack up, the higher you’ll climb on the leaderboard.
